Bad Brains put on 3 shows for the “last show’s at CB’s” lineup. They played with different bands each night, but at the October 10th show, they played with the Bouncing Souls, a band that I was never really impressed me, but put on a hulla’of show as a warm up act.

The whole band played with a ton of energy and the fans loved it, people were stage diving like it is going out of style. JR said that they were going to have a new album out, I really could care less….

BTW, JR was wearing a motorcycle for the first three songs of the Monday show.

Check out the pictures at the gallery.

This week is going to mark a loss to the worldwide punk and hardcore scene. With the closing eminent they are having a run of ‘all star’ shows. The highlight is going to be the 3 night run that legendary BADBRAINS is going to perform. That is a hardcore dream cum true…

I went to see the Sick of it All/MadBall/Murphy’s Law/Agnostic Front at CBGB’s last night.  It rocked, this was the last time that these bands will ever grace the graffiti covered halls of CB’s.murphy's law

All 4 bands put on a great performance. The highlight is when Agnostic Front played Gotta Go, the place absolutely erupted.

agnostic FrontUnfortunatly, the pictures i took were with a Treo 650, so they mainly suck, but as a thumbnail they should convey the message…

I just picked up a new Sony Ericsson W810i w810ifor a client of mine, and I have to say that the phone ROCKS!!!. It looks cool and it has a 2 mega pixel camera and flash (which actually is more of a bright light).

We originally tried the Samsung d807, samsung d807but that phone was truly disappointing, the microphone mainly picked up background noise, it could not sync with a mac, and it would not vibrate and ring at the same time. They must have rushed that phone out to market before finishing the software.

I think their is a big problem in the mobile communication industry is that they think it is acceptable to release products that are effectively “broken” because the software they ship with is incomplete, or poorly tested.

Right out of the box the w810i was impressive. It came with wired stereo headphones that had a mic built in to the cord, a usb cord that doubles as a charger, and a 128mb duo card. The screen is nice and bright and the navigation is clean, although the 5 way navigation button is a little tight.

As a Treo 650 user for almost 2 years, I thought that if you wanted to use bluetooth you had to the bluetooth ritual (which usually involved sacrificing a fuzzy bunny to the scsi bus). I was shocked to find out how well bluetooth was implemented on the w810i. Almost every bluetooth feature worked with out any special configuration. Within 2 minutes of pairing the powerbook and the phone I was able to remote control the computer from the navigation pad on the phone. I still can’t do that with my treo 650.
